Schools in the UK will stay open.
But if any kid is found with a cough, he/she will be sent back home for 14 days. The measure has been taken to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Boris Johnson said that they do not have the need to shut down the classes as of now as he has a way to crack the spread.
The Prime Minister said that they believe open schools will be no harm but they are going further with this keeping the situation under observation.
Sir Patrick Vallance, the Chief Scientific Advisor agreed that schools can be a dangerous crowd for the spread. Then he added that there is the right time to close down the schools and the time has not arrived yet.
The virus is spreading through the UK. There are 1,500 reported cases of Covid – 19 in the UK out of which 55 patients have already lost their lives.
For now, schools have been instructed to send the students back home with fever or cough.
If the potentially infected child is not collected immediately, it is suggested for the teacher to put the child in isolation.
The government has also said that these kids should have a different window. And because they are potentially infected, they should even have a different toilet. The toilet then should be disinfected properly before another student or person uses it.
Yes, the virus is spreading but the government is saying that at this point of time, schools are not needed to shut down.
It is also said that even if a sick child is found, there is no need to shut down the entire school.
The emergency may be applied soon and the ones not following it will be fined or will get jail time. It is vital to follow the emergency rules once applied to break the path of the virus.
