Max The Moluccan Cockatoo Is Scared Of Turtles


Recently, the Moluccan Cockatoo visited a Pet Store and saw a few of the big tanks there.

 Max didn’t know about the Turtles, especially when they started swimming towards him.

The turtles were quite large and Max has never seen this kind of animal before, so he was little scared!

The turtles were also curious after seeing the large white cockatoo and they even came right over to the side of the glass to look closely.

Max is the Moluccan Cluckatoo with his unmistakable trademark Bok that he sings with joy. You will laugh after watching this 25-year-old male Moluccan Cockatoo with so much attitude. Max doesn’t care about humans and believes that all humans are ridiculous.

He lives an adventurous life that he loves to share with his flocks. Max also shares the spotlight with flock members Tycho (A 23-year-old African Grey who believes cameras are parrot eating monsters), Tikal (A 44-year-old Amazon who enjoys saying hello), and his owner (a featherless biped who doesn’t listen).

Max lives with his owner in his forever home. He was rescued when he was ten years old. He was living in a basement in his last home and had a lot of behavioral challenges – screaming all the time and biting to the point that he couldn’t be handled safely. He is now living like a good animal, very friendly and social.

The Moluccan Cockatoo, also known as a Salmon-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua moluccensis), have a long life and can live 60 to 80 years. They can be easily recognized by their trademark peach color with a brilliant Salmon colored crest that gives them a brilliant display. Like all other parrots, they need a lot of attention, nutrition, and care.
