Billie Eilish won the song of the year award at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for her famous single “Bad Guy.

The award is shared with the 18-year-old musician’s brother Finneas O’Connell, who’s the producer and co-writer of the song.

“Why? So many other songs deserved this, I’m sorry,” said Eilish. “This is my first Grammys. I never thought this would ever happen in my whole life.”

During her acceptance speech, Eilish gave her parents a sweet shout-out, thanked her bother and appreciated the other nominees of the award.

“This is my brother Finneas and he’s my best friend,” she said.

“I feel like I joke around a lot and I never take anything seriously at these kind of things but I genuinely want to say I am so grateful, and I only want to say that I’m grateful, and I am so honored to be here.

“All of you, I love you to my core. I grew up watching all of you.”

Then it was the turn of Finneas to speak and just like his sister, he was also short of words to express his feelings at the moment.

“This is a really really big deal and I have no idea what to say. I didn’t think we were gonna win this at all. I loved every song on this list. I want to thank my girlfriend, my best friends, our entire team,” he said.

“We just make music in a bedroom together. We still do that. And they let us do that. This is to all the kids who are making music in their bedrooms today, you’re gonna get one of these.”

Besides winning the award, Eilish also made a record for getting the second-highest nominations for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, which included three for ‘‘Bad Guy.”

The singer was also nominated for the best new artist, and her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was nominated for the album of the year.

Eilish made history after becoming the youngest person ever to get nominations in the top categories of the Grammy Awards: best new artist, album, song, and record.

She got the nominations at the age of 17.
