President Joe Biden accidentally called Kamala ‘President Harris’ during his Thursday speech.
The Vice President was present when Biden misspoke in the speech but the camera failed to capture her reaction.
“When President Harris and I took,” Biden said as he paused for a moment, “a virtual tour of a vaccination site in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that tour injecting people, giving vax each shot, was like administering a dose of hope.”
Biden also announced during his speech that his administration could achieve its objective of administering 100 million coronavirus vaccines on Friday.
The President also said that 65 percent of people aged 65 and above have already received at least one dose of the jab.
He suggested that people can have “small” gatherings for the Fourth of July.
“If we keep our guard up, stick together and stick with the science, we can look forward to a Fourth of July that feels a bit more normal, with small groups able to gather for cookouts in backyards,” Biden said.
However, his ‘slip of the tongue from his speech pulled a lot of attention as this is not the first time he has done it.
In December, Biden also accidentally referred to Kamala as “President-elect” during a speech about coronavirus vaccines.
“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” he said at that time.
His remarks sparked speculation of cognitive decline.
Fox News commentator Sean Hannity said: “Another day, another embarrassing big blunder from yes the frail, the weak the cognitively struggling commander in chief. Someone might just want to remind Joe he’s the president now.”
