The Bickering Between Chris Cuomo And Governor Andrew Cuomo Is Hilarious Yet Informative

The COVID-19 crisis has occupied everyone’s attention front and center for the past few weeks but that doesn’t mean people don’t take notice when news anchor Chris Cuomo and his brother, Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, manage to get on national television and end up bickering.

The coronavirus crisis has seen the two brothers being in interviews with one another over the last two months and it was inevitable that a little sibling interaction would creep up. While hilarious, the exchanges still manage to be informative.

At 49, Chris is the younger of the two while Governor Cuomo at 62 is the no-nonsense older brother.

The bickering started after Chris told his older brother he needed to call their mother during one interview.

His politician brother quickly responded, “Yeah, I called mom just before I came on this show. By the way, she said I was the favorite. Good news, she said you are the second-favorite son.”

And during another interview, Chris thanked him for coming back, to which Gov. Cuomo came back with: “Mom said I had to.”

Like any concerned brother, Governor Cuomo made a statement about his little brother when Chris tested positive for the coronavirus. But that didn’t stop him from sneaking in a brotherly jab: “He’s strong … not as strong as he thinks.”

But Chris wasn’t about to let his older brother off just yet.

During a press conference, Chris told Governor Cuomo, “You came to me in a dream. You had on a very interesting ballet outfit and you were dancing in the dream and you were waving a wand and saying, ‘I wish I could wave my wand and make this go away,’ and then you spun around and you danced away.”

They could barely keep it together after that remark. Andrew said, “I think the fever is effecting your mental capacity.”

When Chris boasted about how he knew how to make their mom’s tomato sauce, Andrew called Christ the “meatball” of the family.

During one interview, Chris asked if Governor Cuomo had plans to run for president. Their exchange went”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: “No, no.”

Chris: “No you won’t answer?”

Andrew: “No, I answered. The answer’s no. It’s just one word. I said no.”

“How can you know what you might think about at some point right now?” – As any younger sibling would say when told “no.”

When Chris announced that his wife Cristina also tested positive with COVID-19, Governor Cuomo was quite sympathetic but had the rejoinder: “You think Cristina’s gonna blame you for this.point 403 |

There’s a lot of other things, as we know, she can blame you for, so this is gonna be number 17 on the list.point 91 | So I wouldn’t worry about that.point 123 | point 130 | 1

One time, Chris called his brother the “Love Gov” to which Andrew replied, “I am the Love Gov. I’m a cool dude in a loose mood, you know that.”

Of course, Chris rolled his eyes at that. They then went back and forth about whether or not Andrew would be having a run at the White House, to the point that Andrew jokingly threatened, “Don’t laugh. You’re gonna pay, Chris. One day you’re gonna be better.”

Of course, the wasn’t enough so Chris popped a pic of a young Andrew, embarrassing the governor so much he had “no words” and even threatened to exit the interview.

Chis told Andrew to keep his ego in check, which prompted a retort from his big brother, “Some people say I shouldn’t come on this show because you harass me.”

This only elicited more badgering from Chris who said, “Can’t take it? Want a pat on the back?”
