The superstar trio of erstwhile pop band Destiny’s Child is planning a reunion tour.

It has been 15 years since the ‘girl group’ launched their last album. And despite this vast period of time, the band still finds a place in the heart of pop lovers.

Just recently, it has emerged that the band members are thinking about getting together. In a piece written for The Sun, Simon Boyle claimed that Beyonce is secretly working to get the iconic band together and Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland are totally on board. Besides releasing a brand new piece of music next year, the reunion will include a tour of Europe and the US.

And it’s probably the perfect time for a get-together, as it will mark the 20th anniversary of Williams joining the pop group — soon after which, the group became a global sensation.

An insider told The Sun: “Beyonce has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio and she can’t think of a better time than 2020, when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups.

“She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better. Beyonce has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do.

“It’s early days but they want to record new music and put it out alongside some of their biggest hits.

“Then they want to do a tour which will be short enough for them to fit it into their schedules, but big enough to make sure all their fans can make a date to see them.

“As well as going around the US they want to play dates in Europe, including the UK.

“They are one of the very few groups where love for them has only grown since they went on hiatus in 2006, so the demand is massive.”

Destiny’s Child is known for its UK’s Singles Chart number ones — Independent Women and Survivor — as well as its top five tracks, including Lose My Breath, Bootylicious, Emotion, and Soldier.

The reunion will definitely be as thrilling as Beyonce’s performance at US festival Coachella last year, in which she brought Michelle and Kelly out on stage.
