Dog the Bounty Hunter’s wife died Wednesday morning in a Honolulu hospital, a spokesperson for the family confirmed to CNN, after being in a ‘medically-induced coma.’
According to Hawaii News Now, Beth Chapman was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen’s Medical Center on Saturday.
The 51-year-old has ‘struggled with cancer for a year.’
After being put into a medically induced coma, Duane asked his fans to ‘please say your prayers for Beth right now.’

Fans were all in prayers for the power couple, with one person writing: “Praying for beautiful Beth and you Dog. Stay strong she needs you now more than ever….”
One user said: “We’re sending you all our love during this very difficult time and pray for Beth to make a full recovery! She is a very strong woman and if anyone can pull through this and come out stronger it’s definitely her!”
Beth’s throat cancer was operated upon in 2017.
Although the procedure was successful, her cancer returned a year later. In November 2018, she underwent another surgery in which doctors removed a tumor from her throat.
Andrew Brettler, the family attorney, said at the time that Beth’s emergency surgery was ‘serious,’ and that the family was staying strong.
‘But she has excellent doctors who are evaluating her treatment options,’ Brettler said.
The power couple rose to fame after their reality television show, centered around their Honolulu’s based bail bond business, became a hit.
The audience loved the glimpses they got at the once-unknown world of bounty hunting, with Duane seeking out and arresting people who violated terms of their bail agreements.
Eight seasons of the show were aired by A&E network from August 2004 to May 2012.
The Chapmans also starred in a 2015 spin-off series, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, as well as a two-hour special, Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives, released last year.
