Beyonce mentioned it in her song with Megan Thee Stallion – OnlyFans is the new pre-paid pornographic (or nearly explicit contents) hub that everyone is using, and celebrities are dipping their feet it in one at a time.
And the most prominent (promiscuous) of these celebrities is none other than Bella Thorne, once a Disney actress. Apparently, her OnlyFans account has blown up out of proportions.
Within 24 hours, Thorne’s account has sweeped over $1 million worth of subscriptions, according to OnlyFans. The site has previously featured the rapper Cardi B also, but the response for Thorne has been more than ecstatic. Thorne announced the launch of her OnlyFans page on her verified social media on August 14. Her subscription rate is currently priced at $20 a month.
This is not the first time Thorne has envisioned her career with adult materials.Only last year was she bestowed the Vision Award from Pornhub for the directorial debut of her adult film “Her & Him.
” The film “depicts an edgy twenty-something guy who stumbles upon a surprise text in his girlfriend’s phone, interrupting their morning routine and spinning everything into an out-of-control sexually charged encounter,” according to the mega porn site.
She has answered the media attention of her rather bold moves with saying comments like: “What are the ins and outs? What does a platform like this do to its users?” “What’s the connective material between your life and your life inside the world of OnlyFans?,” Thorne said.
“How can it change your life for the worse and the better? How far are you willing to go, and how far do you WANT to go? You can be me, or this talented girl from Montana, and OnlyFans could change your life — if you want it to, of course.”
Her apparent competitors, it seems, is now the industry’s previous dominant sex workers, who are not shy to protrude their disagreements.
“The perspective she’ll gain won’t be representative of what most people experience as content creators on the platform,” says sex worker Ellamourne.“I am certain she’ll deal with some of the same issues — fans crossing boundaries, scammers, etc.
But at the end of the day she is a celebrity and wields a large amount of privilege.Unless the intent is to drive the conversation toward decriminalization of sex work, I’ll be disappointed. ”
