Bella Thorne, the once Disney princess actor who has now turned her eyes to adult films, has apologized to the rest of the OnlyFans alumni after she swept nearly millions of dollars in cash after she opened her very own OnlyFans account.
She has so far been accused of a) charging 200 dollars for a so-called ‘naked’ photo in which she wasn’t completely nude and b) charging a game-changing subscription fee that jeopardized many online sex workers’ livings.
She did mention that she will not offer total nudity in her account, but many customers who have scrambled in for a peek is now demanding refund. Other content creators on Only Fans have also pointed out to the fact that Thorne had imposed $50 on pay-per-view posts from a previous cap of $200, and a $100 cap on tips on Thursday.
OnlyFans is the content-oriented, individually created platform for self-made porn, which has earned a reputation for being the “safe way for sex workers to earn money.” Some of these sex workers have now gone further to claim that Thorne is causing the changes in all the new policies, greatly restricting their abilities to make money. OnlyFans has so far denied the accusations, saying that there is no way one user would have changed all policies.
‘Transaction limits are set to help prevent overspending and to allow our users to continue to use the site safely,’ the company said in a statement. ‘We value all of the feedback received since this change was implemented and we will continue to review these limits,’ it added.
Thorne apologized, saying that eher intentions were good.
‘I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, And in trying to do this I hurt you.I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex work, porn, and the natural hatred people spew,’ she said.
‘Ps.I’m meeting with only fans about the new restrictions to find out why!!! This is f***ed up and I’m sorry comment any ideas or concerns you want brought up to OF!! and send me your links and a pic so I can promote you guys,’ she said.
She said she made the account to do research for an upcoming movie on the platform.
Twitter users are very angry, even after her apologies. ‘Bella Thorne is the Walmart of Onlyfans,’ one Twitter user fervently cried out.
