A mom has captured funny photos of her daughter before and after her first day at school.
5-year-old Lucie Falconer from Glasgow, Scotland looked prim and proper for her first day of school. She happily posed with her big brother for a photo as she couldn’t wait to finally meet her classmates.
Lucie looked so excited for her first day, showing off her neat uniform, shiny shoes and also a yellow bow in her hair.
But after a few hours, the adorable Neilston Primary student was no longer bushy-tailed and bright-eyed.
Jillian Falconer, her mother, shared the hilarious after photo looking like she had a difficult day at school. In the photo, an exhausted Lucie carries her unicorn backpack by its strap. Her tie was undone, socks uneven and ribbon out of place.
“She had her skirt round her ankles almost and a bow at the back of her hair,” the mother-of-four told Metro.
“I think her clothes were too big slightly and she was pleased to see her friends.”
She added: “I did say to her, “What did you do today?” and got usual reply all children give, “Oh, nothing much.”
“She’s the smallest and is a wee madame. But she is normally very shy. Except when she’s around her brothers.”
The mother also added that her daughter was so tired she went to bed very early.
One internet user commented: “The best picture of the week!!!! I actually laughed out loud. It reminded me of when I was a kid her age. My Mom kept my sister and I impeccably dressed as kids, and always dressed us in the exact same matching clothes. ( God knows why?) My sister would come back from wherever we had been looking just as she left. Me? Just like the kid in the photo. A dishevelled mess! The kid in the picture is too adorable.”
Another wrote: “Great photo! Hope this girl will always be as active and happy as she was that her 1st day in school.”
