Fargo Brewing Company has started working together with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, a local shelter, in order to feature pictures of dogs in need of a new home on the cans of their beer.

In addition, they also named their lager cans after the names of the dogs that have appeared on the cans.

The first 6 lucky dogs that have been featured on Fargo cans include animals that have trouble finding a new owner due to issues with socializing.

“It’s our hope that through this event we can raise a little awareness about these ‘one’derful pooches and hopefully find them homes of their own!” the company wrote in their Facebook post.

In an interview with Food and Wine, the mastermind behind the project, Jerad Ryan, praised the public’s response to the selfless act.

“I approached my boss about donating beer can labels to a brewery willing to feature our dogs. He loved the idea. I asked Fargo Brewing if they would be willing to do this for us and they loved it too,” he said.

“They have gone above and beyond with donating profits and having an event where the public can come and meet our Oneder dogs, as they don’t get to attend events with the other dogs. The response from the community has already been amazing and heartwarming.”

“What a great idea and a wonderful business to help out homeless animals! I’m sure they will gain customers in addition to helping dogs,” someone wrote.
