While any other food item can be contaminated, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer or the producer to check before selling the same to the consumers who are putting their trust in the company.
Even the slightest of the contamination in animal flesh can cause major health problems in humans and this not a thing anyone would like to take a chance on.
In the past, this has happened a few times that after selling their product in the market, the companies found it out later that the product they have sold was contaminated and can cause a major problem for them as well as the consumers.
This is why a Michigan company is recalling its beef packets.
This Michigan Company had sold about 43,000 pounds of beef in the market but they realized it later that the product was not standing upright on the slandered of food division and it can have chunks of plastic in it.
With the fear of the same, the company without wasting any time quickly announced a recall.
JBS Plainwell, JBS’s meat producer department announced the alert and gave out the information for the same to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The company said that all the affected packages were packed on March 20 and are sealed with the establishment number “EST. 562M” on them.
The company asked the consumers to either throw away the packets or to return them to the sellers. The meat was only available in Michigan and Wisconsin but there was a fear that by the time the announcement was made, a large number of consumers would have already bought the product.
This is not the first time the company had to recall it’s products. They had to do the same back in October and then again in the month of December.
It looks like they are not alone in this because, in March, Washington Beef had to recall about 30,000 pounds of beef after they found out that the beef was contaminated.
