BBC Blasted For Racism After BANNING White People From Applying For Jobs


The BBC has been slammed for displaying sheer racism while advertising for their trainee jobs recently.

Local media outlets confirmed how the British broadcasting network recently put up an advert for their one-year trainee role in Glasgow in regards to their project management department. While everything appeared to be fine, applicants soon realized how the post banned white people from applying for the trainee role worth 18,000 pounds.

The posting stated how the position was only open to the Black community, Asian individuals, as well as those applicants who belong to an ethnically diverse background.

The news sparked outrage and extreme discrimination in the society who felt that the organization was giving preference to only those belonging to an ethnic minority background.

While sources confirmed how positive discrimination is dually unlawful, keeping in mind the Equality Act of 2010, there is some room for positive action for both the positions of a trainee as well as interns too as many feel there is an under-representation of minorities.

Meanwhile, the advertisement was put online by Creative Access, which is a company whose main goal is to boost their ethnic minority numbers while working in industries relating to media and the creative arts.

The advert confirmed that whoever gets the position would then get the golden opportunity to work on the ever so famous BBC network, including shows such as ‘The Truth About,’ ‘The One Show,’ and ‘Springwatch’ too.

Creative Access also went on to add how the person who comes out on top for the role would be a candidate that has a true desire to build their career in the world of television while demonstrating a keen interest in the BBC Studios platform.

On the other hand, another position for the role of trainee researcher was also open, keeping in mind the organization’s Bristol-themed Natural History Unit. Coincidentally, this post was also solely limited to those belonging to minority backgrounds and hence received similar backlash from plenty across the board.
