When it is about cooking, most of us do not realize we are doing something wrong until someone comes and guides us along.

Here are 7 habits that will make you a better cook and your food more delicious.

  1. Preheating the cooking surface is necessary.

You may think the step is just added for no use but this is not true. Preheating of the oven is important for evenly cooking of the food. Same goes for the grill, it can get sticky and the food can get stuck to the surface.

  1. Don’t dip the bowl to fill flour.
Google

This is a common mistake most of us do. Do not fill the whole cup because then the dough or the bake will be denser. We have to sweep the flour before using it.

  1. Do not overfill the pan
Google

Make sure you do not overfill the pan just because you do not have patience. This will probably ruin your dish which is not what you are looking for. Have time and stir your food patiently.

Letting the meat rest is one of the most important parts of cooking meat. Make sure you don’t cut it open before time because then it will lose all its juiciness.

  1. Washing the meat
Google

Washing the meat before cooking it can be a bad idea because then there are high chances of the meat getting contaminated. Wipe it up with a paper towel and you will be good to go.

  1. Use nonreactive pans
Google

When you are cooking with acidic substances in your food make sure you use a nonreactive pan because then your pan, as well as the flavors of your food both can get spoiled.

  1. Remove the stopper before blending hot.
Google

If you are blending something hot make sure you remove the stopper that is at the top of the blender. Remove the stopper to keep the speed in control so that the hot liquid does not jump out and burn you up.
