A Baby Stared Back At The Camera During A 20-Week Ultrasound Scan

A mother-to-be was frightened to see that her baby was staring back at her in a ‘creepy’ manner as she went to the doctor for her 20th-week scan.

Jo Greer, a resident of Plymouth, Devon, took a minute to contemplate what she was looking at when the baby appeared to be seeing into the camera.

It looked like the fetus was examining her back in the same way she was looking at it.

Jo, who is a fitness instructor and owns Elevate Dance and Fitness Studio, said that her partner experienced a number of emotions during the scan.

Clint Jones was shocked at first, then creeped out and highly amused in the end.

Jo, 34, added: “It was quite creepy, it was a bit of a shock. Me and my partner just turned to each other and burst out laughing. Apparently there’s nothing wrong with it, but we were told it is quite rare that the baby looks at the camera.

“We’ll keep the image and put it on their 18th birthday card as a bit of a giggle.”

Jo shared the photo of the ultrasound scan on her Facebook timeline, saying: “So we’ve all seen the standard, cute sideways scan pictures, but this is ours.

“Of course we got the usual scan pics, but then baby turned to face the camera which is apparently quite rare and highly amusing.”

This is, by no means, the first or the only case of a mom being freaked out by her own baby.

An American woman was extremely shocked to see her baby at the 24th week of her pregnancy, and went so far as to say that the fetus was ‘f***ing creep’ and a ‘devil baby.’

Seventeen-year-old Iyanna Carrington, from Richmond, Virginia, was hoping to find out the sex of her baby through the scan but what she saw was very disturbing for her, to say the least.

Iyanna said: “I’d never seen anything like it. I love this devil baby so much already.

“I was going to see whether she was a boy or girl. They showed her face and she looked normal, then the nurse confirmed she was a girl, but I knew that deep down already.

“Then they put it back on her face and she was just looking right at me like that.

“I said, ‘She looks like a ghost’ in the doctor’s office and the doctor said, ‘Yeah, that’s very normal.’ She looked a bit crazy.”

However, it is in the basic psychology of parents to love their children no matter what, so there’s nothing to be concerned about these babies when they come to this world.
