Hundreds of newborn olive ridley sea turtles made their way into the sea in Neptune Beach, Florida, USA and the sight was beautiful.

Beachgoers witnessed the amazing moment the baby turtles begin their ocean adventure and captured the moment with their cameras.

Surfing instructor Winston Plaza, who lives on the island, also captured the amazing moment babies being released in the sea and shared the video online that has now gone viral.

The video instantly went viral after it was posted online. Some of the Internet users said they watched the moment for the first time.

The video received thousands of likes and comments. One user wrote: ‘Thank you for sharing video. Not many of us have the opportunity to see the mass exodus of baby turtles leaving their sandy nest and entering the ocean!’

Another user said: ‘I can’t believe how small those turtles were. I guess i always thought they were born a little bigger’ while the third one added: ‘What a perfect magical moment of pure nature I’ve added this trip to my bucket list.’

One user wrote: ‘I remember as a child sitting on the beach in the Florida Keys watching the mom lay the eggs and cover them. Then later we watched the hatchlings come to the surface and head for the sea . A wonderful experience.’

Another user wrote: ‘Just people appreciating the awesomeness of nature, nothing more, nothing less, swim away boys and girls, a long and healthy life’.

The beachgoers couldn’t contain their excitement while watching the babies. The sight was beautiful and a treat to watch.

The olive ridley sea turtle is the second smallest of all turtles and is found in tropical waters.
