A newborn baby was rescued by shocked locals after being buried alive on a farm in India.

The child’s right arm and right knee were visible when residents found the tot buried in a field in Khatima, Uttarakhand, after she was left there to die.
Fortunately, as The Sun reported, a laborer saw the infant’s face while working on the farm and the baby was rescued before it was too late.
In a heartbreaking video, shocked residents and police officers are seen rescuing the baby whose body was covered in dirt and soil from top to bottom.
After the successful rescue operation, rescuers swaddled the tot in cloth for warmth and protection.
The child was then rushed to a hospital for treatment and is now in a stable condition, the Adelaide Now reported.
The incident is the latest in the series of similar ordeals that occurred in the country.
Last year, a 3-day-old girl was reportedly rescued after being buried alive by her parents who wanted to have a boy.
The newborn was found alive placed in a clay pot and wrapped in cloth that was buried in a shallow grave in Northern India.
According to the reports, workers were digging a grave for a stillborn baby when they noticed the infant who was called a brave fighter by doctors.
In January last year, another newborn baby was rescued after a local in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, heard her weak whimpers.
The child’s cries were heard as temperatures dropped to only 3C and she was taken to a nearby hospital.
In 2017, another newborn was found in a thorny bush after her parents allegedly left her for dead. Fortunately, a local resident found her in time and took her to safety.
