Baby Panda Smiled And Waved At The Camera As It Greeted The Public For The First Time


A cute little panda waved and smiled at the camera as it just couldn’t wait to meet the public.

The fluffy black-and-white ball, who was gently held by its carer, waved at the camera when it greeted the people in the Chinese province of Shaanxi.

The 3-month-old star was being shown alongside its twin sibling and another 2-month-old female cub.

The three little pandas were presented at Qinling Giant Panda Research Centre, which cares for 26 pandas, including a rare brown-and-white panda.

They received their names during the ceremony attended by government officials, panda fans, and press.

The twins are named Yuan Yuan and Jia Jia. They were born on July 10 weighing 6 ounces and 4.3 ounces respectively.

The third cub, Qin Ku’er, was born on August 25 weighing 3.9 grams.

According to the center, all of the three adorable cubs are healthy.

One internet user commented: “They are so adorable! I bet the zoo is packed with people wanting to see them.”

Another wrote: “You can see the wranglers gloved hand manipulating the pandas paw.”

A third said: “They are so cute; would love to cuddle them!”

During the ceremony, staff used apples to form the Chinese characters of ‘happy growth’ to give cubs best wishes.

Qizai, the brown-and –white panda, is the only such panda in the world in captivity and stays in Qinling Giant Panda Research Centre.

According to the latest census, there are 1,864 wild pandas and around 600 captive pandas in the world.
