All babies are worth be blessed as they are born. They are presents from the Lord and the birth itself is miraculous.
In rural Indiana, there was a guardian angel to save one tiny miracle.
Elysia Laub is a 9-year-old girl, who lives in Indiana.
When she was at home, she heard a voice in her head that drove her to feel like going outside. She was not sure what’s happening but she knew that God sometimes works in unexplainable ways so decided to follow the voice.

She went outside and nothing was there. As soon as she headed back home, she heard something from the bushes. She thought it was a baby pig that escaped from its pen a few days ago but when she got closer, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
In the bushes in her backyard, there was a newborn baby even with the umbilical cord attached. She was covered with maggots but she was still alive.

Elysia ran into the house right away to get her mother, Heidi.point 74 | Heidi thought her daughter must be confused about what it is.point 125 | However, as she saw the baby, she picked her up and told Elysia to call 911.point 186 | point 186 | 1
“I ran to the baby and scooped it up and I said, ‘Elysia run to the house and call 911 as soon as possible,’” Heidi recalled. “I got to the house and we put one of our baby blankets around her.”

The police arrived quickly and after performing few tests, they could feel relieved. The baby’s skin was sunburned and bugs were all around her body but she was okay. She didn’t get hurt or disease.
“[It’s] a miracle that Elysia was out there to find her,” Sherriff John Buncich said.
Also, Heidi agrees. “This is a miracle we found her,” she said. “God put my daughter out there to save that baby. She is fine. This is really a good story.”
After the police did a few checks on the baby, she was taken to the hospital to recover and then transferred to a foster home.
Many people call Elysia a hero but she doesn’t take all the credit.

She says, “I didn’t do this myself. Somebody helped me. God.”
“If I wasn’t there and God didn’t tell my brain – if my brain didn’t make me go over there, we would find a dead baby in the yard this afternoon,” Elysia said. “It would be much worse and much different.”
It is so grateful that God tells us what to do to save those in need.
