In an interview with ABC News, Chrys Yvette Jones said it was a miracle that her 23-year-old daughter, Crysten D’ve Graham, granddaughter Tai Anderson, 14-month-old, and newborn granddaughter Cea all survived a car wreck.

Jones and her daughter were so grateful for the officers who immediately helped them and quickly spotted newborn Cea in the backseat only minutes after Crysten gave birth to her.

“They were angels. We didn’t get to call 911. Somehow, they were just there and moved so fast,” Jones said. “They have a special place in our hearts.”

When Graham started feeling pains, she contacted her mother for help. But Georgia and other states were hit with tornadoes and heavy storms that night.

Graham and 14-month-old Tia sat in the backseat while Jones drove. But on their way to Northside Hospital Gwinnet, Graham delivered her baby in the car.

“My daughter was saying ‘I think it’s coming,’” Jones said. “She remembered her breathing techniques, because she had her other baby last year and she was able to do it herself.”

Minutes after Graham gave birth, Jones hydroplaned and lost control of the car. The SUV hit a power pole and struck a brick fence.

“We started to look for the baby and then all of a sudden the police were there,” Jones recalled. The three made it out with only minor injuries.

A spokesperson for the department said officers Cepeda Huff and Daniel Bride looked all over the wreckage to find the baby and Cea was spotted behind the back seat unharmed.

“She just had a little scratch on her nose but that cleared up,” Jones said.

“Those officers really went above and beyond. We just can’t wait to thank and bless them in person.”
