A two-month-old baby was left fighting for her life after being injected with an illegal substance by her mother.
21-year-old Destiny Harbour has been arrested after the child was found unresponsive with multiple injection marks on her body at a property in San Angelo, Texas.
The little girl remained on life support after she was rescued from their home in the 2200 block of Webster Avenue.
Harbour reportedly gave birth to the baby in August but the child had not received any medical care since birth.
Detectives said the child’s grandmother, 37-year-old Christin Bradley, and her partner, had ‘helped’ with the child’s care inside the home.
Doctors found multiple injection marks on the baby’s head, hands, and legs.
Investigators discovered drug paraphernalia and quantities of suspected heroin, marijuana, pills, and methamphetamine while executing a search warrant.
Harbour, Bradley, and Dustin Smock, 34, were charged with serious bodily injury to a child.
The mother’s bond was set at $100,000 while Bradley and Smock’s were set at $50,000.
One person commented: “Unbelievable. How evil can you get? Evil is understatement.”
Another wrote: “Not worth the oxygen. Scum.”
