This sparked fears that the infection could be transmitted from mothers to their children in the womb.

The saddening news came after doctors claimed that the infection might also be spread by feces.

The baby diagnosed with coronavirus was born in Wuhan. Doctors gave the baby a test 30 hours after the delivery and the result was positive.
