If there’s something we here at SmallJoys enjoy, it’s a beautiful baby doing absolutely adorable things.
One little baby boy, Braden Mayer, did something absolutely adorable. He was the ring bearer for an amazing wedding!
When he began to walk down the aisle with the ever important rings, absolutely everyone turned around and watched!
He was absolutely adorable with his teary eyes and humongous smile as he made his way down the aisle to applause from everyone at the wedding.
You see, Braden Mayer isn’t just your average baby. While most babies can take a couple of days or perhaps even weeks to learn simple things, Braden had a bit steeper learning curve that so it took him a bit longer to overcome.
When Braden was born, the doctors diagnosed him with Down syndrome.point 248 |
For many, this ends up being the only thing they’re known for, but Braden wants more in life.point 82 | He absolutely refuses to let himself be defined by it.point 127 | Instead with the love and support of his mother, he continues to preserve and push through all obstacles in his path.point 224 |
His mother hopes that Braden will instead be defined by the love and support he received from everyone, much like how everyone else is usually defined.point 126 | point 126 | 1
The video is a short, yet beautiful homage to all of the work Braden put in to be able to accomplish this grand task. That’s why everyone in the audience can’t help but yell and cheer as he accomplishes what seemed impossible so long ago. It’s not just the act of going down the aisle, but the path that Braden took to get there.

It’s hard not to appreciate the hard work and effort Braden but also his mother put in to make such a video possible. You can see that she is dedicated to making sure Braden lives a happy and fulfilling life no matter what and it’s through her dedication that he’s able to do it.
With such an incredible support system, it’s hard to imagine much, if indeed anything, could actually stop him. He’s so determined and with the love and support that he always has at his back, he can only achieve amazing things.
We hope this video will remind many that people with Down syndrome aren’t so easily defined and are capable of doing many surprising things!
