Every person is creative to a certain extent.
After all, the ability to create something, even if it’s only in our imagination, is like a portion of the divine power that created the universe. However, for most people, this creation frequently stays in the mind as a daydream or fantasy and that’s how artists differ.
This is because an artist is able to manifest whatever it is in his/her imagination into physical form (or at least, something that can be perceived by the senses of other people) so that other people can appreciate whatever it is.

Despite so many things being invented and created throughout the ages, creative people still get to surprise us with what they come up with. One example of this is Hazrat Mammadrzayev, 22, of Khirdalan City, Azerbaijan.
Hazrat is able to painstakingly create detailed portraits and mosaics using only Rubik’s Cubes as his material. Working out of his home, he can spend at least 10 hours to as much as three whole days to create one of these amazing works of art.
Even if each creation takes so much time, the artist is still prolific as he’s managed to create up to 15 works of art each month over the past year. He first discovered his passion for art in 2013 and hasn’t looked back since.
Despite using only the colors available in a Rubik’s Cube, namely, red, blue, orange, green, yellow, and white, Hazrat can still create stunning portraits that have a depth and clarity that is amazing considering what they are made of. Among the portraits he has made are that of Stephen Hawking and Victoria Beckham, with each portrait being made up of roughly 500 miniature cubes.
Hazrat said: “I feel very happy when I complete a piece. Each portrait is a story, and it is a story that ends well.
“I believe that the Rubik Cube is not a toy, it is life! They are colorful cubes that add color to our lives!”
Despite Hazrat’s use of Rubik’s Cubes, his art is technically not Cubism. Cubism refers to the art movement that started in 1907 and was pioneered by Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso. This art style uses fragmented subject matter put in such a way that it can be simultaneously viewed from different angles.
But whatever you want to call Hazrat’s art, it’s still amazing!
