Arnold Schwarzenegger has opened up about his health and revealed he had undergone another heart surgery.

As the former governor of California wrote in his Twitter post, he received a new aortic valve at Cleveland Clinic. The procedure followed more than two years after The Terminator actor had his pulmonary valve replaced.

“Thanks to the team at the Cleveland Clinic, I have a new aortic valve to go along with my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery,” the 73-year-old Hollywood star explained.

As he added, the surgery went as planned and he’s already back on his feet and walking around.

“I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying your amazing statues. Thank you to every doc and nurse on my team!” Schwarzenegger added.

According to WebMD, a faulty aortic valve can meddle with the blood flow and result in the heart being forced to work harder to distribute the blood throughout the body.

Thanks to the replacement of one of the four valves responsible for controlling blood flow through the heart, the actor’s blood flow has been restored to normal. Besides improving blood flow through the heart, valve replacement surgeries also tend to prolong one’s life.

The procedure, however, is far from risk-free, and The Terminator actor had to undergo an emergency open-heart surgery after suffering complications during the valve replacement.

Fortunately, the former Mr. Olympia was seen in good vibes and back on his feet shortly after the surgery.
