Arnold Schwarzenegger Backed Up 102-Year-Old Woman Who Was Forced Out Of Her Home


For an elderly person, their home becomes their entire world and their possessions like their house becomes the very reason that keeps them alive.

They get so attached to the house they live in that at several times they die when they are forced to live in new places or away from their own house.

For us, it may just be a building but for a person who has spent their entire life in the house, it is way more than that.

Thelma Smith, 102 years old woman received the news that her landlord has decided to end her month to month lease and that she will have to evacuate the house now.

The landlord made the decision because his daughter decided to make the house her permanent address as she was graduating from her law school.

Smith had lived in that house for 30 long years and at such an age it was impossible for her to move and be able to live in a new place.

The landlord only gave her 3 months to evacuate the house. Most of her family had already died and the few that were left live on the east coast.

One of her neighbors who have been there since 1999 offered her to come live with her but Smith does not want to change place.

For a very long time of her life, she served for the community and thus made some great friends. One of her friends is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger heard about his friend’s situation and decided to take it to social media. He wrote that it is highly inhuman to make a 102 years old person who has always given to society in every way to evacuate her home.

This helped Smith and now Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs is trying to find a glitch in the contract so that they can make the lady be in her home.
