Pentland denies any violence, but the video clearly shows that he shoves the man away in efforts to make Deandre go away. He starts to scream at Deandre, “You better walk away, You are talking to my wife right now.”

Deandre responds with, “That’s your wife, I didn’t do nothing to your wife but speak.” He keeps a calm demeanor throughout their whole interaction.

One of the witnesses, Shirell Johnson, took the video to Facebook and it received a lot of views and comments. While the situation occurred, a group of women waited with Deandre until the police arrived so that they could tell officials that he had been assaulted by Pentland, even knocking Deandre’s phone out of his hand.
