Apple’s Face Recognition Led to A False Arrest and Now the Teenager Has Filed A Case Against Apple for $ 1 Billion


Apple is believed to be the company with the best software and security in the world.

The gadgets of the company are used by some of the most prominent people in the world because the gadgets are believed to have all the correct information and the security of the same is phenomenal.

Believing the same, it is not only used by the company itself but by thousands of other companies for their cybercrime needs and other purposes. But Apple’s security software got them in trouble by accusing a teenager of false theft.

Ousmane Bah is an 18 years old high school student who said that he was arrested on 29th of November from his home in New York City with the charge of theft by the Apple Company.

He says that the charge was a false one and because of the same the man is now filling up a case against the company for Apple’s negligence, causing, emotional distress, libel, slander, and fraudulent concealment.

He explained that a few days ago his ID got lost and someone might have picked. The ID had his entire information other than his picture. Yes, his picture was not on the card and this is the reason probably that the thief was able to use it.

The thief had stolen something from the Apple store and the only way Apple had to find out the thief was through his ID. So the police came to Bah’s house to arrest him which they certainly did.

Later on, the video footage from the store was released and the detective working on the case agreed that Bah looks nothing like the man on the screen.

Now, the charges against him have been removed in all the states except New Jersey. The case is still pending in the court. The blame also includes the dates of robbery when Bah was in his school’s prom.

Guess Apple is not that great as we thought it would be.
