Anti-Vaxxer Asked Followers To Visit Hospitals After Suggesting That Coronavirus Pandemic Is A Lie

An anti-vaccination movement has come under fire after suggesting that the coronavirus pandemic is a lie and encouraging people to grab their phones and document what’s going on at their local hospitals.

“Are you being lied to? If you are out an about in the next couple of days, why don’t you take your phones and pop into the local hospital,” the Australian Vaccination-risks Network, an anti-vaccination group based in New South Wales, Australia, wrote in a Facebook post.

“Let us know how crowded it is – or is not. Is coronavirus really overwhelming our nation or is our nation overwhelming us with lies and killing our economy and us?”

After the post went viral, some people agreed that things are ‘suspiciously’ quiet whereas others slammed the movement for encouraging people to break lockdown rules and storm hospitals despite official reports that confirm more than one million people worldwide were already tested positive for COVID-19.

Along with their controversial message, the AVN also shared a video of a fellow anti-vaxxer who allegedly had her followers do some digging and question health workers about the situation and number of patients at their hospitals.

While plenty of critics have lashed back at anti-vaxxers saying that visiting hospitals without a justified reason during lockdown could be considered illegal, the AVN remained firm in their responses.

“I see no reason why it would be considered illegal for them to pass by the hospital on their way out or back?” they wrote.

“From everything I have been told, many hospitals have empty or nearly empty car parks. So where are all the COVID-19 sufferers?”
