This Russian Artist Demonstrated Annoying Girl Problems With a Sprinkle of Imagination

Anastasia Stushona Ivanova, the popular Russian artist, is keeping herself pretty busy after publishing her last work.

She continues to poke fun at everyday annoyances of our life, thereby gathering thousands of followers.

The character in her comics is Anastasia’s alter ego, Stushona, and typically seen dealing with girl problems. But every now and then, this talented artist comes up with a surprising strip leaving her followers intrigued and amazed.

Whether it is sipping coffee with a human-sized croissant or explaining the notion of Big Bang, you never know what you can expect with her.

The artist said that creating comics is how she communicates with the world. Stushona said that if she has something to say, she simply draws. Additionally, she said often it happens that you need to be silent for a while.

Her comic strips typically consist of four panels. Taking about her new strip, she said that the format has always been challenging for her and is similar to visual haiku. And if you manage to tell the story in merely four shots, it comes across as clear and funny.

The self-isolation due to coronavirus pandemic has not made any significant disruptions in the artist’s routine. She said that almost nothing has changed in her quarantine mode as she already used to work from home.

The only difference has been that there is no reason for her to get out of the house, so she has been working for most of her time. While it is great for her creativity, it is bad for her back.

Stushona is currently working on a new book, and she says that it takes time, which now she has in plenty. She has also set up an online store, and she is filling it up with her artwork.
