She was a teacher and a mystery novelist who retired and decided to live in Tampa.
The credit of the meeting goes to Gerber who wanted to click a picture of the two people together, while the baby’s family was enjoying a vacation in Florida.
Parents of the child, Cortney and Jason said that Lucas and Anna bonded right after they met. Lucas walked up to the novelist, flashed a signature smile while waving and it was clear that the bond between the two was instantaneous. The charming boy even grabbed a cookie and offered it to Anna.
Chris Colin, Anna’s grandson, said that although being a face of Gerber never made her famous but ‘we did get to meet a cute little boy, the new face of Gerber.’
A family friend of Anna had once sketched the baby Anna and gave the picture to Gerber, and the company was so besotted by the picture that they got it trademarked in 1931.
Following it, Anna was officially revealed as the company’s face in their 50th-anniversary party in 1978.
Lucas, on the other hand, has gained immense popularity since his pictures were first made public in February. His first campaign with the company was recently finished, and it was called ‘Make Every Little Bite Count.’
