One dog owner was left laughing for days after she realized how her adopted dog only understands Spanish.
Kalee McGee revealed how she always thought or felt that her little pooch ignored her or just didn’t want to pay any attention to her. But that was definitely not the reality of the matter because the real reason had to do with a language barrier.
“When I first adopted my Chihuahua named Max from an animal shelter, there was no paperwork and therefore I was so clueless about his background, Kalee revealed.
But since the doggie was well-behaved, she enjoyed taking him on long walks. “He sat down whenever I gave him a treat, and that’s when I assumed immediately that he was so well trained.”
On the other hand, the US dog owner says that she certainly couldn’t work out the real reason why little Max just wouldn’t listen to her. Moreover, it certainly bothered him a lot but that all changed one day when she finally realized something important.
“I made the hilarious discovery that he only understands Spanish,” she explained, sharing her breakthrough finding with followers on TikTok.
“I am certainly going to talk fast because I know that your time is precious but this is really hilarious and I have no one else to tell so please listen carefully,” she added.
And that’s when the dog owner shed light on adopting Max and how adorable he was, yet failed to pay any attention or listen to whatever she had to say.
“I always wondered what the matter was. Why doesn’t he sit when I request him to? There was something very wrong,” she confirmed, right before adding how Max only speaks in Spanish.
