In his seemingly never-ending fall from grace, it is now being reported that Prince Andrew will be ‘airbrushed’ from his father’s 100th birthday celebrations.
This follows an erasure of his images from his very own daughter Beatrice’s marriage.
This removal from public exposure can be interpreted as an evidence that the British royal family has fully understood how stained Andrew has become for the public. Andrew is in fact one of the 4 children that Queen Elizabeth has given birth to with Phillip.
According to a royal insider, Andrew is not just being hidden from the public – he has not been invited at all to the public event. Whether the family will host a more private occasion for the family is unknown, yet if the reports are true, Andrew’s absence from the event will be conspicuous.
However, the source did say that the royal family is not trying to beautify the history because it is not like Andrew has been officially expelled or removed from the royal family. Whether the public will interpret the obvious absence in the same manner is much more doubtful.
Andrew’s path of disgrace all stems from his alleged relationships with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Although he has strongly denied all the allegations that are being told about him, he has been disastrous in addressing the claims in a genuine way with the public.
In particular, an interview that he had in which he tried to defend himself without a lawyer present has been so catastrophically terrible that experts are citing it as the perfect example of what not to do when clearing your name. Many believe that the interview did as big a damage as the allegations.
The insider who disclosed Andrew’s removal from the event said that the scandal has not damaged Andrew’s relationship with his father. At the same time, the source claimed that the pressure to minimize Andrew’s role in royal duties were coming from the top.
What further ruined his public image was the claims from the investigators that Andrew was not cooperating with them although claiming he is on the media. The royal family said it is still undecided over the details of the birthday party.
