Did you know that a normal trip to a nearby market could make you an internet sensation?
Christina Kokonis-Viggers was heedlessly promenading in the aisles of Sam’s club along with her friend, Amanda Lasher when they were walking past a Karaoke machine. Christina chose that moment to show her musical skills to the world.
Christina selected “Maybe this time” from Cabaret after she hooked her mobile phone up to the singing machine and started singing. Her singing was so good that she had attracted the attention of other people and when she ended her performance, she was applauded. All this while, her friend, Amanda was recording her singing.
Amanda decided to put up the video clip on Facebook, but Christina asked her not to. Christina was not very sure about her performance, but Amanda was. In the end, Amanda did upload the video to Facebook, where it went viral.
Within eight hours of uploading the video, it had been viewed more than eight million times and by now it has been viewed fourteen million times.
People really loved Christina’s voice and hoped that she would release her own album soon.
