Amy Winehouse’s Ex-Husband Makes $1.8 Million Claim On Her Estate 8 Years After She Passed Away


Following eight years after the tragic death of Amy Winehouse, her junkie ex-husband made a $1.

8 million legal claim on the late singer’s estate.

After Blake Fielder-Civil’s claim, Amy’s family slammed the drug addict, who admitted to introducing his ex-wife to heroin, and said “he deserves nothing” as he brought “nothing but pain to everyone.”

“This is someone who spent a lot of Amy’s money during their time together. He also and spent a lot of their marriage in prison, bringing nothing but pain to everyone,” one source close to the Winehouse family revealed according to The Sun.

“To give him another penny would be too much. To say that it would be inappropriate for him to benefit from her estate would be an understatement.”

Blake made a legal claim on Amy’s estate just days after the late singer’s death anniversary.

Following the 27-year-old’s death back on July 23, 2011, Amy’s parents received a total of nearly $4 million in assets. Since her passing, however, the value of Amy’s estate rose considerably due to songs royalties.

Now, Blake confronted the Winehouse family and claimed his lawyers told him his claim is valid due to him staying with the late singer for six years during which she made considerable amounts of money and produced some of her best-sellers.

“Amy’s family are obviously upset about this – particularly as it has come at such a sensitive time,” the source added, while another insider claimed:

“Blake is an utter scumbag. It is unbelievable that he is trying to tap into her estate and make a claim for money. Janis, in particular, is very upset about this.”

Speaking of the complex case, Frank Arndt of the Paradigm Family Law suggested:

“If there wasn’t a ‘clean break’ there is a case that could be pursued. His team will possibly say he needs the money for a house, something that he needs and that there is money in the estate.”
