We understand that for a human being, who is not trained for dealing with violent animals, facing one can be a horrific moment.
But it is important to understand that animals are scared of humans as much as we are scared of them.
We have no right to enslave or harm an animal that is living in its own habitat. But some absurd people chose to ignore that.
In the Orchard Lakes Estates in Sugar Land, in Texas, live a few alligators. They do not disturb humans and neither do humans disturb them but this one alligator was found by locals in a condition that was heartbreaking and completely unethical.
The locals saw an alligator swimming in the lake with a knife stabbed in his face. Yes, the blade was right stabbed in the face of the alligator and it was really close to its eye.
The alligators in the region stick to the water and are not really a trouble for the locals around. This is why the incident became a major issue.
Erin Weaver lives near the lake and she was the one who saw the alligator first.
She said “I have been living here for years and there is no doubt that these animals are quite beings. I have never seen them troubling anyone at all. They never are defensive or attack anyone. I just cannot believe that the alligator would have been violent on someone.
I am sure someone did this on purpose. I was standing by the lake when I saw him. He then turned and started swimming towards me and that is when I saw the knife in his face.
It was probably in the eye or very close to its eye. But who would be such a cruel person to hurt an animal in the most pathetic way?
