Rubin Swift just heard the news that he became a father and he was awarded the custody of his daughter Ru-Andria who was in Arizona but he had no idea that while returning home he would be stopped at the Frontier Airlines gates when he was flying out of the gate at the Phoenix airport.
The poor dad who was traveling alone with his daughter had no idea what to do because he was drained out of money and they won’t let him go.
The airlines told him that he cannot fly with a newborn baby until the baby is 7 days old and he shows the proof of the same.
While his daughter was admitted to the Banner University Medical Center for several days, she was old enough but had no birth certificate.
At the same place Rubin, the middle-aged father from Cleveland met 78 years old Joy Ringhofer, a woman who was a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother of about 10 kids as she was volunteering at the NICU.
When Rubin got stuck in the situation he asked the hospital who told him it would take at least 4 days for the certificate to come out.
He had no money and was forced to sleep in the airport if he did not find a way out of it. And if he sleeps in the airport with a newborn, his baby would be taken away by law for neglect towards a child.
Running out of options he called Joy who he had met at the hospital. The nice grandmother had given him her number and even had dropped them to the hospital.
She told him she was coming right away to take both of them home until they are ready to go back.
They talked and shared a lot about their personal lives with each other in the 4 days they had spent together and promised to stay in touch as he left.
