A 63-year-old actress has been praised for her young looks and age-defying body over four decades after she first won in a beauty contest.
Chen Meifen, 63, is a Taiwanese singer, actress, and TV presenter that has gone viral thanks to her toned body and age-defying appearance.
As the 5ft 5in celebrity revealed, she partially credits her love for ginger and soup for her youthful appearance.
Ms. Meifen rose to fame years after winning in a beauty contest back in 1975 when she was 19 years old. While she didn’t pursue a career under the spotlight right away, she appeared on the TV after shooting an advertisement following some three years of working at a bank.
In the following years, Meifen appeared in several movies in which she played “traditional Taiwanese female roles.”
At the age of 36, the actress was also branded “the hottest [aunt] of Taiwan” by one of the most influential TV presenters in the country.
Decades later, Meifen continues to amaze her fans with her stunning looks, young-looking skin, and wrinkle-free face.
“Normally, I add a few slices of ginger in the soup and I think that helps me maintain my good skin,” the 63-year-old revealed in an interview with MailOnline.
While one would think that she’s also no stranger to the gym, Meifen actually admitted she finds it hard to motivate herself to shake her body and sweat.
“I know I need to keep exercising. I am jealous of those people who go to the gym out of habit. I still need to force myself sometimes,” she added.
Another factor that allegedly contributes to the actress’s youthful appearance is that she tries to enjoy her free time to the fullest and stay in a good mood at all times.
The 63-year-old doesn’t have any children. She was previously married but is now divorced and interested in a fresh love story.
