Adam Sandler has replied to a viral video of him being turned away from IHOP after a restaurant worker told him that there would be a 30-minute wait.
The clip, which was uploaded to Tiktok by Dayanna Rodas, saw the 54-year-old actor and one of his daughters politely walking out of the restaurant after they were told that they would have to wait for half an hour.
Despite not fulfilling his cravings, Sandler has no hard feelings and he even took the time to respond to the video.
Sandler wrote: “For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes.”
In the video that received over 11.1 million views, Rodas admitted that she did not recognize the actor.
“Not realizing it’s Adam Sandler and telling him it’s a 30-minute wait and him ofc leaving because he’s not going to wait 30 minutes for IHOP,” she said.
She also captioned the clip: “Pleaseee come back.”
The clip has been liked more than 2 million times and has gained thousands of comments from people who praised the actor for being ‘humble’ and stunned that she did not recognize him.
“It’s because he had a big beard, and ‘I’ve never seen Adam Sandler with a beard,” the waitress explained. “And the mask didn’t help.”
Along with his face mask, the actor wore a North Face hoodie and basketball shorts in the viral video.
One commenter said of the actor: “I used to serve him regularly. Never served a nicer person.”
