Star Trek And Seinfeld Actor Richard Herd Died At The Age Of 87


The beloved Star Trek and Seinfeld actor Richard Herd died at the age of 87 following a battle with cancer according to his representative.

As The Wrap reported, they were told that the legendary actor, who was famous for his roles in the likes of Star Trek, Seinfeld, and The China Syndrome, was surrounded by his family as he passed away at his Los Angeles home.

While Mr. Herd appeared in several worthy TV shows during his long career, he was, arguably, best known for playing Mr. Wilhelm, George Costanza’s supervisor, in Seinfeld.

The Los Angeles resident also appeared in several Star Trek series including Star Trek: Renegades, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The Massachusetts-native also acted in dozens of other screen hits including Dr.point 233 |

Mr. Herd’s first screen appearance was in 1970 when he appeared in the movie Hercules in New York. His first big-time role, however, was in 1979 as he played Evan McCormack in The China Syndrome.

The Hollywood actor is survived by his wife, Patricia Crowder Herd, and their daughter, step-daughter, and son.
