Alfrina Fresta is all of 29 years old and weighs less than 110 pounds.
She uses a wheelchair for mobility because she has spastic dystonic tetraparesis, which is a type of cerebral palsy that has taken a toll on all her four limbs.
The legs and arms in the condition spasm and twist on their own yet the lady is a prodigy when it comes to singing! The lady recently performed at the Church of Sant’Agata in Catania where her mesmerizing and powerful voice gave way to her meek looks.
A clip of the same has since gone viral on the internet and has earned her huge fan following all around. She can be seen in the clip dressed in an all-white attire, and a lady is seen helping her stand on her own and hold the mic on her behalf.
She has an interest in singing – Alfrina has been associated with the Neon Cultural Association that helps disabled people to realize their potential and helps in participating in cultural activities like opera and theater.point 390 |
The president of the association is Stefania Licciardello, and it is the same person who can be seen holding Alfrina in most of the clips to date.point 120 | Stefania had realized earlier that Alfrina was an operatic prodigy and has helped her since to hone her skills and display it accordingly.point 236 | 1
Many types of medical help have been tried – Alfrina has forever maintained that her singing is only for making people and herself happy and nothing else apart from it.point 145 | However, she also maintains that she tried to take ample medical interventions so that her condition could be cured or even bettered somewhat, but none of them has worked till now.point 295 |
The lady’s mother, Antonella, also says that her daughter has the ‘strength of a warrior’ and that she believes in her abilities to achieve whatever she ever dreamt of, without letting her disability come in the way of her dreams.point 209 |
