Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making sure the world knows more about their lives than what has been printed about them in the press and that’s causing plenty of trouble.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex literally left no stone unturned when they highlighted how Oprah Winfrey was baffled and shocked when she found out about the size of their cottage that was located on Palace grounds.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have revealed how they went on inviting Oprah Winfrey to join them for tea at their cottage in Kensington Palace. During that time, the television mogul was left stunned by the tiny size of the residence.
The revelation comes in episode five of their bombshell docuseries on Netflix. During this time, the Sussexes really went bold in claiming what the famed television host’s reaction was to their Nottingham Cottage. They lived here a few months after their May 2018 wedding.
They went on to insist that while the residence happened to be on the grounds of the palace, they were by no means ‘living in a palace’ as so many people assumed.
As explained by Harry and Meghan, their feelings regarding the tiny home were cemented when Oprah joined the duo over for some tea. On that note, Oprah screamed, ‘No one would believe it!’- after laying eyes on the property herself for the first time.
While seated on the sofa during the interview, Harry says to Meghan in a bold tone, ‘Oprah came over for tea, didn’t she?’ And on that note, his wife Meghan replies, ‘She Did!’
Harry goes on to mention and reenact that it didn’t feel good to see her say that. It just makes you realize a lot of things at that moment in time.
The anecdote about Oprah came at a time when the couple shared a few images and videos from their time together at Nottingham Cottage which is known as Nott Cott on a sign.
Harry and Meghan also concluded in the end how many people wrongly assumed that this couple was living inside the palace. And it’s funny how incorrect they were, he adds.
