The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly received a ‘devastating’ Halloween phone call while they were at a party and it left them completely worried.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle love Halloween, embracing all the traditions from carving pumpkins to dressing up in scary costumes.

But during their dating days, they received a Halloween phone call that changed their lives forever.

It happened in 2016 when Harry and Meghan were still keeping their relationship a secret. The couple were dividing their time between London and Toronto, where the former actress filmed Suits.

When Halloween came, they knew they had to celebrate so they came up with a brilliant plan.

Finding Freedom authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie said the couple were enjoying the ‘perfect’ evening at Soho when they received an unexpected call.

“Some four months into their relationship, they were madly in love and eager to take part in the fun of one of their favorite holidays,” they wrote.

“The evening of October 29, with Harry in town, the couple decided to go to a big costume party being thrown at Soho House in Toronto.”

Harry and Meghan purchased Venetian-style masks so they could go to Soho without others realizing that they were partying with a prince.

Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie joined them with her now-husband Jack Brooksbank. The couples were having a good time until the phone call.

A newspaper had found out about Harry and Meghan’s relationship and was about to report about them the next day.

“A cocktail or so into the party, they were both feeling relaxed, absorbing the Halloween spirit,” the authors said.

“It was possibly the perfect night out – until they received a call from one of Harry’s aides at Kensington Palace. It wasn’t good news.”

Since then, their relationship grew stronger and now they have been married for more than four years. They also have two children Archie and Lilibet.
