Faye Angeletta, the director of house building and property recruitment company TDM Recruitment, has been working for more than 7 years and never faced this sort of rejection.
The woman placed a candidate forward to one of her clients for a new home sales department job. When she contacted her employee again to inquire about the proceeding, he told her the candidate was too fat to hire for this post. He said that in a text message and told her that the woman would be bullied for her appearance if given a job in his company, and he didn’t want to be the reason for that.
He is also worried that the fat woman will get a heart attack or the showroom stairs will cause a problem for her due to her size.
Angeletta has to call the unidentified candidate to inform her about the feedback because she wished to know about it.
Moreover, she wanted the candidate to learn not to reengage with that client in the future.
The candidate is a cancer patient and is on steroids. Angeletta had told her client that his reason for rejecting the candidate was ridiculous as her capabilities are not related to her size.In the past, there have been several candidates who gave the clients genuine reasons for their rejection.
