When you think about your grandmother, love, care, lots of food and gifts, and warm hugs might come to your mind.
Many people consider that their grandparents are more loving and protective of their grandkids as compared to their own kids.
But this grandmother did something horrifying. Yesenia Flores beat her grandson so much that he passed away and robbed the little kid of innocent life. What is more, is that she even had the audacity to live about the incident.
Flores is charged with murdering her five-year-old grandson. As per the reports, the woman killed the toddler by striking him repeatedly. The little boy was under her care some weeks ago and during that, she hit him so badly that he died.
Fearing that she might invite trouble, Flores did not even call 911. She waited for one day to pass. The little boy died due to the intensity of the injuries he had received from his grandmother. As per the medical reports, the cause of his death was blunt forces.
Initially, Flores was charged with child endangerment, according to the court documents. But the decision was changed and she was charged with murder. Flores called 911 on 19th September and lied that the kid fell off the bed and was unconscious.
Then, the paramedics immediately arrived at the scene and performed life-saving measures. However, it was too late. Then, the unresponsive boy was taken to Toledo Hospital to save his life but he could not be saved.
The grandmother kept on saying that the boy fell from the bed but his injuries showed something else. Investigators were alerted by the hospital staff for the same and after that, Flores was questioned. Eventually, she admitted to committing the crime.
The boy’s injuries screamed of Battered Child Syndrome, which means he was regularly abused. The little kid showed injuries from older wounds, which were healing when this unfortunate incident took place.
