A stray cat mother was caught on camera as it brought her kitten to the ER of a hospital where it was greeted by the staff.

The sweet moment occurred in Istanbul, Turkey, where the stray allegedly entered Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital with a kitten in its mouth before heading straight for the ER.

As Merve Özcan explained, she was in the hospital because she was worried about her father who was diagnosed with COVID-19 when the cat confidently walked down the hallway.

“I was very surprised when I saw her because she seemed to know [the place] better than me. It was obvious that she knew where to go,” Özcan said in an interview with The Dodo.

As the woman, who is a cat owner, went on to say, the staff were thrilled to see the cat and the kitten as if they knew them already.

“The medical staff was also very happy to see the cat and kitten, went to them and loved and cared for them. I think it was a cat that employees already know, and there were people who saw it there before,” Özcan added.

“Her kitten was not sick, but she wanted to stand there. While the doctors loved on her and her baby, she stood safely next to them.”

According to The Dodo, both the mother and her kitten appeared healthy and were also checked by a veterinarian after receiving food and hugs from the hospital staff.
