A couple, from Shieldhill, was due to get married on April 15 but they had to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak.
However, Jacqui Paterson and Tony Hughes got ‘half married’ at home with their dogs as best man and bridesmaid.
Jacqui and Tony were forced to postpone their wedding amid coronavirus crisis because of the social gathering restrictions.
But, they decided to get half married at their home in front of their Daschund puppies – Max and Lola – who acted as best man and bridesmaid.
Jacqui wore a sequinned gown that she ordered online amid lockdown and the couple exchanged rings at their home.
Jacqui said: “We just wanted to do something to commemorate the day. I am a wedding photographer so I just wanted to take a few photos of us together.”
The couple had a wedding breakfast, drank champagne, and took pictures of themselves using a tripod.
Jacqui even did the dishes wearing the sequinned wedding gown that she bought from Asos.
Jacqui runs a wedding photography business, Chic Photo while Tony works as a tour manager.
The couple met on a dating app a year-and-a-half ago. Six months after getting engaged, they decided to get married on April 15.
But, they canceled their wedding a month before the wedding date because they knew their friends wouldn’t make it from overseas.
The couple will now be getting married in September and are already looking forward to their September wedding.
Tony said: “Jacqui looked beautiful and seeing her for the first time as a bride took my breath away. I can’t wait for our real wedding in September in front of everyone we love.”
The couple has now decided to get married on September 30 at Inglewood House, in Alloa, Clackmannanshire.
