A woman from Leeds found a rude note on her car’s windscreen that accused her of breaking lockdown rules in Morley.
Sarah Crosland shared the incident online and told she was out shopping for her vulnerable friend who can’t go out for shopping due to coronavirus crisis.
Sarah shopped for her vulnerable friend while doing her own shopping and drove to Morley to deliver the shopping to her friend’s house.
When she returned to her car, she found a note on her car’s windscreen that read: ‘I have recorded your registration number. You have no business being in this street. You have broken the regulation lockdown.’
Sarah shared the note online and urged people not to judge anyone too quickly.
She told the anonymous writer that she was delivering the shopping to her vulnerable friend’s house who is unable to go out during lockdown.
She urged the anonymous writer and other people not to be judgemental without knowing the whole story.
She wrote: “Hi, Leeds folk. This is a public service announcement on quarantine rules and how not to be judgemental.”
Earlier, an NHS nurse at Royal Stoke University Hospital found a note under her windscreen wiper after a 12-hour shift.
The note read: “How f***ing stupid and dangerous (sic) parking here do it again you will be sorry!!!!!”
The nurse slammed the person who wrote the note and explained that she’s a nurse and working long shifts amid this difficult time.
She said as most of the people are staying at home nowadays, she doesn’t find space to park her vehicle.
The nurse branded the note ‘shameful’ and said: “Whilst most people were out clapping for the NHS, you were writing this.”
The nurse reported the note to Staffordshire Police and urged people to be kind in a difficult time like this.
