A thirty-two-year-old daughter recently collapsed and lost her life after suffering a heart attack when her sixty-three-year-old mother’s coffin was being lowered in the ground.
Her mother died of coronavirus disease.
Laura Richards collapsed at Julie Murphy’s funeral at Atherstone Cemetery, Warwickshire. Although mourners rushed her to the hospital, she could not be saved.
Sadie who is Laura’s half-sister said that the entire family is heartbroken and devastated because of the two deaths.
Sadie is in the high-risk category after her kidney transplant. She revealed that she was not allowed to be at the funeral because of social distancing.
The forty-five-year-old woman said that they were lowering her mother into the ground when Laura suddenly exclaimed that she could breathe and was clutching her chest.
Sadie’s daughter asked Laura to sit down, put a coat on her but Laura could barely catch her breath or speak.
Saide noted that even the vicar stepped forward to save Laura’s life but could not. She added that to lose her sister at her mother’s funeral felt like a horror film.
The mother and grandmother of four lost her life in the hospital on 15th March after contracting the coronavirus disease at Oldbury Grange. Julie was fighting dementia and MS when she got the virus.
Julie was buried near her husband, who passed away in 2012. Laura uploaded a heartwarming photo of her and her mother with a heartfelt caption to dedicate it to her mother. She was buried near her mother with only 5 people present at her funeral.
It must be unbearable for the family to witness two sudden deaths and specifically for Sadie because she was not allowed to even attend their funerals.
