Some pranksters did not leave the chance of taking advantage of the opportunity provided to them by Democratic Party to alter the Democrat logo on Monday on the Google’s results page for the Democratic Party to a rat from the traditional donkey.

As per reports, the hack remained there for minimum ninety minutes before it was corrected by emergency responders of Google.

The Knowledge Panel of Google displayed a multicolored rat in its red-white-blue flory on Monday afternoon. The Knowledge Panel of Google is an information box that sits to the right of the search results.

According to Google, Knowledge Panel is an informative box that appears on Google when you look or search for entities (things, organizations, places, people) that are in Knowledge graph.

The Knowledge Panel is meant to help the user get a quick view of information on the topic based on the understanding of Google from available content on the web.

Knowledge Panel is an automatic generation and the information that appears from several sources across the web.

Google, in several cases, works with data partners who offer authoritative information on particular topics like music or movies and combine that information with the information available online.

As the information on the web changes, the data on Knowledge Panels get updated automatically.

However, according to Google spokesperson, in this case, Google should not be blamed as the Democratic Party had not claimed its Knowledge Panel.

They further added that most photos in Knowledge Panel are generated automatically from pages on web, and as soon as errors are reported, the Google team fixes them quickly.

This is why it is advisable for every organization and person to claim their Knowledge Panels.
